In a world full of technology and instant everything I've decided to pursue a dream I've quietly and longingly held onto for a long time, getting back to the basics and the land.
Growing up, I stayed alot with my Grandma Lula, who not only kept a large vegetable garden and a variety of fruit trees, but churned her own butter and made meals from scratch everyday among other things, the best days of my childhood were spent at her house.
The way she lived her life may have been alot of work compared to the way we live our lives today but I remember after a day at Mawmaw's, going to bed at night tired and happy and having a feeling, even then, of purpose and living with intention, something I've been missing for a long time.
So even though my husband and I now live on a small piece of land (a little less than 2 acres) I know that with some hard work and sweat we can make it our own country paradise...our own mini farm on the hill....hence Happy Hill Farm will slowly but surely come into being.
I invite you to tag along as we make this journey in an effort to not only find forgotten roots again but strive to make our little part of the world a better place ....... thanks for coming!
