My husband Ronny and I are the couple behind Happy Hill Farm, a destination for natural chicken raising, gardening, beekeeping, cooking and other fun homestead adventures. I, a third-generation chicken keeper who's been around chickens most of my life, but has only recently begun raising a backyard flock of my own and sharing my farming adventures on our Blog and Facebook pages, all in an effort to help others learn how to keep their flocks safe, strong and healthy in the most natural way possible. Whether it’s offering basic advice to those just starting out on their backyard chicken journey or compiling methods of chicken keeping that were used long ago, but now forgotten, we hope to bring old school back new again.
Dedicated to
raising our own animals and food as naturally as possible, we offer advice and
tips on raising chickens using herbs and other holistic remedies and growing
fruits and vegetables organically all while having fun! We also share DIY
projects for the coop and run, natural household and personal products,
gardening ideas, beekeeping tips, and recipes using fresh eggs, vegetables, berries and herbs. We also offer handmade crafts and original farm art when
time allows.
My husband and I have
just begun our small micro farm in the North Carolina Piedmont region, and when we're not tending to our little plot of land other things we enjoy are, for me, writing, gardening, sculpting, painting, drawing, flower arranging and reading. My husband, Ronny, loves to work on small engines.
